Water System Operators

Public drinking water systems are required to have Certified Operators per the Safe Drinking Water Act and Water Supply Rule. The purpose of Certification is to assure the qualification of Water System Operators.

Operators are required to sample for a myriad constituents, including but not limited to the Total Coliform, Disinfection Byproducts (DBP), and the Lead and Copper.

Operators are required to take initial and ongoing training. They are also required to pass an exam for their desired certification level before they can be fully certified.
